What I Wore: Flare Denim

I believe in flared denim and if you ask me it never “went out” of style….but that being said, I am so glad that super flares are now all the rage. I think that they are a closet staple for a chic gal on the go and if you haven’t invested in a pair yet, do yourself a favor and check out all of my favorite flares below. Always flattering and slimming and perfect to balance proportions, they are great with a subtle crop top or a longer flowy top like I have on here. Another closet staple that I have on repeat lately is this tuxedo vest. I throw it on with literally everything these days and have dressed it down with distressed skinnies, layered it with a look like this, and jazzed it up over a little hot pink dress. One of the questions that I get asked the most:
“How do you balance work and motherhood”
The answer is you won’t ever have a perfect balance. The good stuff lies in the grace of knowing that you CAN be fulfilled by both simultaneously, but you’ll never be 100% at both on the same day. It comes in waves and seasons, in hills and valleys. It’s a constant seesaw. It’s okay to settle into the imperfect and claim victory on the mountains but know that you are still a great mom + business woman in the valleys. If your inbox goes unchecked while you’re out at the pool with your kids- that’s ok. If you feed your kids Chick-fil-A for 3 days straight as you celebrate record sales at your business l- that’s ok too.

So stylish! I actually wore a pair of herringbone pants on Sunday with a super-flared leg, and thought "are these in style?" I didn't really care, but glad to know that yes, they are!
